A reimagined book cover for 'The Vampire Lestat' by Anne Rice, the second book in 'The Vampire Chronicles'.
If 'The Vampire LeCat' was actually a book, the blurb might sound something like this:
"The Vampire LeCat" is a captivating and thrilling novel about one cat's journey to discover his true identity as a vampire. Follow LeCat as he navigates the dangerous and alluring world of the undead, encountering other powerful and mysterious felines along the way. As LeCat delves deeper into his past, he is plagued by moral struggles and a longing for belonging. Will he succumb to the urges of the vampire, or will he find redemption and a new purpose? Join LeCat on his journey of self-discovery and find out for yourself in "The Vampire LeCat".
This A3 illustrative artwork has been created for a book mash-up series for the 2023 SALA Festival where I will be exhibiting with Cockadoodle Stu - Artworks by Stu Nankivell. Painted in a mixture of Derivan Matisse acrylic inks and Winsor and Newton gouache on 300gsm Fabriano watercolour paper.
