Reclaimed - Stu Nankivell

Reclaimed is an ode to useful items rescued and repurposed from landfill. Despite the patches of rust, this sturdy Tonka Truck was built to last, and with permission, the iconic toy was saved from the Clare Transfer Station’s “shed of shame”. A few hours later, the truck was bathed in late afternoon light, posing as the triumphant centrepiece of this still life. The truck is now protected from the elements and is a decoration in our carport.
